Bachelor's degree
In the first three semesters, the degree programme consists of three compulsory modules:
From the fourth subject-related semester onwards, you can choose your individual specialisation. Depending on your interests, you can choose which two related subjects you would like to specialise in: You choose a related subject from the natural sciences and a related subject from the social sciences. To choose your individual specialisation, simply complete the corresponding modules; no registration is required (please note that there may be restrictions on participants).
The specialisation in the natural sciences takes place specifically in one of the related subjects of Biology, Chemistry or Physics by studying one of the following modules:
If module 20-SU-B is selected, there is a special feature: one of the modules 20-ORB* must also be studied. Unlike all other modules of the type *-SU-*, module 20-SU-B does not comprise 10, but only 5 CP. The "missing" 5 CP are covered by studying one of the modules 20-ORB*.
The specialisation in social sciences takes place specifically in one of the reference subjects of history or social sciences by studying one of the following modules:
An overview of all modules in the BA programme can be found in the study information.
Master of Education
In the Master of Education, the modules "69-SU-PERSP Perspektivenvernetzender Sachunterricht" (Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht") are studied from the 3rd subject-related semester after the vocational year of study including the practical semester with preparatory training. In the 4th subject-related semester, you will complete your studies with the module "69-SU-SPF Reflection on the subject teaching programme". You can also choose to write your master's thesis in Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht"). To do this, select the module "69-SU-MA Master's thesis".
You can find an overview of all modules in the M. Ed. programme in the study information.
Bachelor
In the first four semesters, the program consists of three compulsory modules: "Introduction to Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht")", "Natural Sciences" and "Social Sciences".
From the fifth subject related semester onwards, an individual focus is set. Depending on your interests, you can choose whether you would like to deepen your studies in the area of social sciences or natural sciences. To choose your individual profile, simply complete the corresponding Modules; no registration is required (please note that there may be restrictions on the number of participants).
The specialization is specifically in one of the reference subjects Biology, Chemistry, History, Social Sciences or Physics by studying one of the following Modules:
If the module 20-SU12B is chosen, there is a special feature: one of the Modules 20-ORB* must be studied in addition. Unlike all other Modules of the type SU12, the Module 20-SU12B does not comprise 10, but only 5 LP. The "missing" 5 LP are covered by studying one of the Modules 20-ORB*.

Master of Education
In the Master of Education, depending on the choice in the Bachelor, a reference subject is chosen again: If you have chosen a reference subject from the area of social sciences in the Bachelor, you will study with a natural science reference in the Master of Education and vice versa. The social science or natural science reference is established here by choosing the element "Didactics of Teaching in the Social Sciences: Theory, Diagnosis and Support" or "Didactics of Teaching in the Natural Sciences: Theory, Diagnosis and Support" within the framework of the module "69-SU13 Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht") reconstructed in terms of subject didactics".
