Language Support
You are already enrolled in a Bachelor or a Master programme? You face difficulties when in a seminar or when writing a Hausarbeit? You wish to receive feedback considering your academic writing? You would like to optimize your usage of scientific literature?
Our German language centre PunktUm offers specific workshops, which support you language-wise during your studies. Our aim is to make it easier for you to reach your academic degree.

The consultation aims to offer a professional support in the academic writing. You will extend your writing literacy and will be able to write better texts in the future.
What is your profit?
- You are the center of attention when it comes to your writing project. We will take our time to answer all your questions.
- You receive feedback to your text (e.g. structure, comprehensibility, language).
- You learn various strategies (e.g. planning your text and editing).

- Workshops for Academic Language and Academic Writing
PunktUm offers workshops during the semester or in the semester breaks, which support you in the development of central competencies (e.g. writing literacy, academic writing skills, and study techniques). You are also able to study a complete module.
After attending courses and workshops at PunktUm you will know:
- How to write a Hausarbeit
- How to apply scientific vocabulary
- How to reasonably apply scientific grammar
- How to prepare for office hours with lecturers
- How to handle difficult academic texts
- How to prepare a presentation
- Which strategies are useful to prepare and edit your own texts
- And much more.
